school crisis..

no no.. i'm not talking abt myself.. hee.. i was watching the oprah winfrey show.. it was on amercian schools in crisis.. though i've heard a little abt the education over there.. i did not expect the situation to be that bad.. if i do not remember wrongly, 1/3 of high school students drop out at the age of 16.. the condition of the public schools was appalling.. the paint on the walls was tearing..pipes burst.. broken mirror.. rusting metal stuff..condition was so bad.. the school simply closed down the area.. the irony is, the school they brought up is just a few mins walk away from the white house.. -_-" i tot all the more it shld be nicely done up..NOT juz on the outside.. somehow i feel quite thankful to be studying in spore.. cox i dun haf to be in the top schools like oxford, stanford to haf a decent schooling environment. yup! so i shld be inspired to study hard huh..

went out wif my ac frenz.. ange, op, eunice & shiv.. 2nd time going orchard in 3 days.. hmm.. played pool before we watched The Devil Wears Prada.. oh. though shiv and i won 1 rd of pool but it was becox eunice hit the white ball in when they were left wif the black ball to shoot.. haha.. then it's movie time! prada dun seem to be mentioned at all.. or perhaps we missed it? cox it started showing when we went in.. it's like a reminder for the workaholics out there that they shld not succumb to the temptation of fame, chanel & gucci ie high-end stuff and forget abt their loved ones.. i think it's inevitable that sometimes ppl lose sight of what's in front of them when they are trying to achieve their goals.. therefore, frenz or families shld warn one another to get ourselves 'checked' of our attitude..

anyhowz.. after the show we went marina bay for steamboat buffet.. the food's still alright.. but had a fun time spent together wif them.. oh.. we were kinda disppointed that jonathon didn't win.. arghz.. all of us hoped that he'll win la.. think he has wat it takes to be an idol.. x factor is there.. yet not beng-like.. back to food.. we took crabs.. the crabs were big.. but i think they were not very fresh.. this morning had a tummy upset.. wonder if it has anything to do wif the food.. haha..

Today-September 26th 2006

went central lib to look for info to do assignments cox the stuff in school lib somehow have all disappeared.. haha.. guess i was juz too slow to cheong for stuff.. managed to find some stuff.. and certain books i dun understand why they hafta put them under reference cox they can even be borrowed out from the hss lib..

lunch-ed wif rl.. yeah.. needed some motivation to go all the way down to city hall.. and man! it's really crowded/packed at raffles place during lunch time.. but it's duh.. commercial place.. quite fun to ka jiao rl on a wkday.. ppl there somehow look all the same to me.. cannot imagine myself working at all.. hai..

muz appreciate that i'm studying in spore..

yet i'm finding it harder to get myself out..
