如果是华文歌..还是老歌好听..

woo hoo!! went for Jacky Cheung's concert on sat.. The Year of Jacky Cheung World Tour'07.. name of concert nt very fanciful.. sis din wanna go at the last min so gave me the tix.. managed to pull junkie along.. was supposed to go bowling with ally and co.. but had to bang seh them.. my apologies.. both of us were so unprepared.. basically wanted to juz go and have a look.. no camera no nth.. only ears..

ok.. the -ve thing 1st.. and it's canto!! o my freakin! he asked the audience whether to use canto or chinese to converse.. but his hk fan-cy were seated in front.. they shouted the loudest and of cox canto stood out fron the rest of the screams.. he sang qte a no. of canto songs.. we were like "".. somehow the canto songs were more popular.. as in applause was louder..
and because of his fan base.. we were amongst the older generation ppl.. so we were the youngest there.. wahaha!!

the concert started off with him jumping/running/dancing/high-pitch screaming here and there.. we were like: huh? din expect him to dance at all.. as in it's nt his style leh.. the 1st few songs were the noisy ones.. think he was trying to push the atmosphere up..

and finally the chinese songs came.. sang a song he composed, 1 for his daughter and 1 for his wife.. sang 3 oldies that were sung by other singers.. but realise the songs are still better sung by the original singers.. as in he's more suitable to sing his own songs..

he tried to have a musical play in between.. link some 雪狼湖 parts with his own compositions.. but it felt kinda weird.. it didn't feel like 1 piece.. maybe i don't know how to appreciate..

2 hrs later.. the concert came to an ending.. as in the acknowledgement part..but nobody budge at all.. so obviously there's some more.. encore? it was another hr long k.. encore so long one ar? then he sang the 经典曲(classics?).. actually i won't mind if he sang all the old songs thru out the whole concert.. cox i think the oldies are still the best.. it would have been the best if the concert ended with chinese oldies.. but came the canto songs again.. it went on and on.. waited and waited.. didn't understand so we left.. hopefully din miss too much of it la..

junkie tried to do some translation for me.. but her canto also cmi.. so.. ya.. haha!! our conclusion: the concert is like bits and pieces cox we didn't understand the cantonese parts.. otherwise we would have totally enjoyed it if it was all in mandarin..
been listening to those chinese songs repeatedly.. these are the songs that can truly touch the ppl who are listening..
